Gel traction battery STRONGER 45Ah (12V) is a battery created directly for STRONGER anchor winches. https://strongermarine.com/lebedka-stronger-35-otzyvy/

CHARGING PRODUCT: RECHARGEABLE BATTERY

— To charge gel batteries, a charger specifically for gel batteries must be used. The threshold voltage of which does not exceed GEL  14.2-14.4V ,   AGM  14.4-14.8V,  the current strength should be no more than  1/6A of the rated power of the battery, i.e. A 100Ah battery must be charged by charging with a maximum current of no more than 16A, but only when using programmable chargers. This means that you cannot use a constant current of 16A when charging from the beginning to the end of charging. When these indicators are exceeded, the gel electrolyte begins to abundantly release gas, which is no longer absorbed back in such volumes). https://strongermarine.com/yakornaya-lebedka-stronger-steel-hands-35-pro/

— Mandatory recharging of the battery for six months if it is not used. It is very important not to interrupt the charging process until it is finished. If you stop charging, say, at 60%, then the next time the battery will not be able to reach its full capacity – and even cycling through charge-discharge cycles will not greatly improve the situation. https://strongermarine.com/montazh-datchyka-eholota/

PRODUCT DISCHARGE: TRACTION BATTERY

The voltage of each battery element should not fall below 1.8 V  (i.e. the minimum voltage of a 12-volt battery should not fall below  10.5 – 10.8 V!! ); Attention, going beyond the threshold green light indication on trolling motors means that you have reached the maximum “deepest” discharge of the battery, i.e. less than 10V. Stop use immediately. Also, the battery should be charged immediately after discharge. This especially applies to the battery. Which was subjected to a “deep” discharge. If the battery remains discharged for a long period of time. A situation is possible in which it will be impossible to completely restore its capacity.

A 100% discharge (deep discharge) is a discharge of the battery to a voltage of  10.5 Volts , and not to zero Volts.

When the left traction battery (12V) is discharged to a critical level. Irreversible chemical processes occur inside and the battery capacity can be significantly reduced. So, if the battery is discharged to 9V, we can say with confidence that 45-50% of the capacity is lost forever. If a discharge of such depth happens again. Then the remainder of such capacity will be only 25-30% of the nominal one. Therefore, even the highest quality AGM/GEL battery can be completely destroyed by 4-5 deep discharges.

ATTENTION: THE BATTERY DISCHARGE SHOULD NOT EXCEED 1/3 OF THE NOMINAL POWER!

STORAGE

Any lead-acid battery, regardless of its type, should be stored in a fully charged state at a temperature from -20 to +50 degrees (optimally at +20). https://strongermarine.com/kupyt-yakornuyu-lebedku-stronger/

After several months of storage, the voltage may decrease due to self-discharge. When the voltage drops below 12.6 Volts, sulfation of the lead plates begins. Which can lead to a decrease in battery capacity. https://strongermarine.com/yakornaya-lebedka-stronger-kupyt/

During storage, it is recommended to check the battery voltage once every six months. And do not allow the voltage to drop below 12.6 Volts. And when this level is reached, recharge the battery from the charger. https://www.weekender.ua/
