Sounder transducer depth control (LIFT)
Description
This device is designed for vertical raising / lowering of the echo sounder transducer. This function allows you to correctly adjust the immersion of the transducer for different operating conditions. For example, for high-speed movement on water, you will need to adjust the depth of the sounder transducer, since as a result of movement on the water, the transducer is “airy” and thus the data on the echo sounder screen is no longer relevant, or is not displayed at all. With this device, you can use the method of remote adjustment to select the required vertical position of the immersion of the transducer and thereby set the optimal position for its further use. Also, this device is necessary for the safety of your echo sounder, especially when driving on water in spring during ice melting, as well as when driving on swampy, or little known areas where there is a high probability of damage to the transducer.
In the basic kit for connecting the vertical regulator to the control panel, or the remote button, a 2 meter long cable is used. (tiller version) If your required connection length exceeds 2 meters, then you will need to purchase an extension cable separately. Its length is 4 meters. And in this case, your total installation length will be 6 meters. This length is sufficient for installation on the control console of almost any boat up to 7 meters long if the console is installed no further than the middle of the boat.

Technical description and configuration
Attaching the Transducer to the Regulator
To attach the transducer to the regulator, you need to drill holes in the regulator plate to match the location of the transducer mounting holes, as shown in the figure on the image. After installing the regulator on the stern of the boat, you need to set the angle of inclination of the transducer according to the recommendations of the echo sounder manufacturer. In the future, all vertical adjustment of the immersion of the sensor will occur remotely from the control point of your boat.
Reinstallation of the regulator
The installation of the regulator is carried out according to the same principle as the usual fastening of the transducer to the stern of the boat, described in the instruction manual for the echo sounder. It is important that the regulator and the echo sounder transducer do not protrude beyond the edges of the boat and thus do not create additional interference in its operation.
Controlling the regulator using a remote button
A remote button is supplied in the basic set. It will help you raise and lower the transducer. You can also adjust the sensor to the position you need by short pressing the key. But unfortunately, this option is not entirely convenient, since there is no possibility of visual control of the sensor position.
Controlling the regulator using the control panel
A panel and control unit kit is optionally available.
By briefly pressing (1 sec.) On the (MAN) buttons, you can achieve a knock-step adjustment of the vertical immersion of the sensor with an accuracy of 5 mm with one press on the button with the up or down arrow. This will allow you to find the optimal, most precise immersion position of the transducer, which accordingly will help you get the most accurate information on the screen of your echo sounder.
With the button (M), by pressing and holding for 4 seconds, you can lock for yourself the so-called “favorite position” of the vertical position of the transducer sensor. In this case, you can always return to your “favorite position” after any manipulations with the device, simply by briefly (1 sec.) Pressing the button (M), and the device will automatically set the transducer sensor to your “favorite position”, which was previously saved … Even if the power supply is disconnected from the device control unit, the information about the “favorite position” is stored in its non-volatile memory of the device until the next time you change this “favorite position”.
